There are several places near the L’Étape Village at AUPARK where you can park during the weekend. As the venue is close to the city centre, parking is subject to a fee.

We recommend that participants use the car parks at Aupark Bratislava, which offer almost 1,900 parking spaces and are open 24/7. The current parking conditions are available on the Aupark website.

If the car parks are full, you can also use the following nearby parking facilities:

Tyršák 2 car park – approximately an 8–10-minute walk from the start. The car park is open 24/7. The first three hours are free of charge, after which parking fees apply.

Mýtny domček car park – approximately a 5–7-minute walk from the start.

P+R Dvory – Macharova – suitable for participants who wish to park in Petržalka and travel to the start by public transport.

Important: If you are transporting bicycles on the roof of your vehicle, watch out for height restrictions when entering underground car parks.

From 10:00 a.m., we will organise the return of riders from the finish area (Kamzík) to the start area (Aupark) at regular hourly intervals.

The route is 8 km long, mostly downhill and then flat.

Riders will meet at the public transport and shuttle bus stop at Kamzík, approximately 100 metres beyond the end of the finish corridor. From there, they will ride together behind the organiser’s ŠKODA vehicle.

L’Étape Slovakia is a cycling race open to the public and intended for road or gravel bikes equipped with drop handlebars and tyres no wider than 35 mm, hereinafter referred to as “bikes”. E-bikes, carbon-spoked wheels, and carbon disc wheels are prohibited.

Parking spaces at the finish area on Kamzík are limited. We therefore recommend using public transport or the free shuttle service between Aupark (the public transport stop next to Aupark) and Kamzík (the “Kamzík” stop, approximately 200 metres from the race finish).

The shuttle service will operate regularly from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Family Ride is a non-competitive cycling event for families, with a choice of a 25 km or 42 km route.

All participants will ride together in one organised peloton accompanied by the event organisers. We will start from Viedenská cesta, near Aupark, at 3:00 p.m. The route crosses Apollo Bridge to the city side and continues to Lužný Bridge. After crossing the bridge, there will be a short refreshment stop and break on the Petržalka side. The longer route (42 km) continues along the cycle path to the “Obrátka” refreshment stand before returning to Aupark via the Petržalka side. The shorter route (25 km) returns directly to the finish along the Petržalka cycle path after the refreshment stop.

This is an organised group ride, with no overtaking—but plenty of enthusiasm and enjoyment! Riders will finish at Aupark by passing under the L’Étape arch. Every participant will receive a medal and refreshments at the finish.

KIDS RACE – Saturday, 22 August 2026 – Start at 10:00 a.m.

The children’s races are divided into categories A (2020–2023), B (2016–2019), and C (2012–2015). As many parents would like to accompany their children during what is often their first race—and because the youngest children in category A will be riding not only bicycles but also balance bikes—we have decided to start the children in groups of no more than 6–8 participants. Each child’s finishing time will be measured manually, and the results lists will be compiled accordingly.

The children’s races will take place directly in Janko Kráľ Park, next to Aupark. The course distances will be 400 m for category A, 1 km for category B, and 2 km for category C.

The fastest girls and boys will receive prizes. However, our main priority in the children’s categories is to inspire an interest in and love of cycling.

We are also organizing a ride for children with Daniel Oss. The ride will start in front of Aupark and follow the cycle path towards Pečniansky Forest and back. The route is 12 km long. This is a free, non-competitive ride, but registration via the registration form is required. The ride starts at 4:00 p.m. and is open to children aged 6 to 16.

Junior riders aged 15 and over may also participate in Sunday’s Race and Ride events. All participants under the age of 18 must provide written consent from a parent or legal guardian when collecting their race number at registration. Children under the age of 15 may participate only in the shorter Ride course and must be accompanied by an adult.

We particularly need volunteers to help coordinate the safe passage of participants and the peloton through the towns and villages along the route, assist with course management and navigation, ensure participants’ safety, and help create a great race atmosphere.

No, accommodation is at each participant's own expense, the start of the race is in the city centre and there are plenty of hotels and other accommodation options in the surrounding area.

There will be a briefing on Friday and Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, which will also be recorded and available on social media. The briefing will cover the start, the route, what to look out for, how to get around, etiquette and all aspects of the event to make the race enjoyable and safe.

Group training sessions are organised throughout the spring from April until the event in several cities across Slovakia (Bratislava, Nitra, Trnava, Žilina, Martin, Poprad, Prešov, Košice). Before the event itself, there will also be organised group training sessions, which will start directly in L'Etape Village, more info in the event program or on our social networks.

At registration, every racer is required to bring a completed and signed Rider Declaration, or to complete and sign it on site. This also applies if the race number is being collected for someone else. You can download the Rider Declaration HERE

It is possible to purchase a gift voucher (currently available through shop.becool.sk) that has a voucher on it. With this voucher, the gifted person will then register (with his/her details) free of charge.

A team consists of 5 or more members, the team ranking is determined by the sum of the times of the top 5 cyclists from that team at the finish line and the team competition is announced on both courses of Sunday's race (both Ride and Race). To be included in a team, you must add the same team name on the entry form. The 3 fastest teams for both men and women will be rewarded.

There will also be an area for individual team presentations and a joint photo on the stage at L'Etape Village in sad Janka kráľa , Aupark on Saturday evening, 22 August. If you would like to be part of the teams' on-stage introductions, please email us at jirko@becool.sk by 11.08.2024.

The "notification of non-participation" options are always listed in the regulations. In the event of a medical problem, it is possible to transfer the entry fee to the next edition of the event upon confirmation. Alternatively, it can be transferred to another competitor. There is usually a fee for overwriting depending on the date of the request.

The entry fee paid is non-refundable. It is possible to transfer it to the next edition of the event or to overwrite it to another competitor. Overwriting tends to incur a fee depending on the date of the request.

There are several reasons for the 7:00 a.m. start. The main ones are mainly the hot weather during August and thanks to the early start the racers will arrive at the finish before noon. The second main factor are organisational reasons and traffic restrictions, as the route  is completely closed for other traffic.

The total crossing time of the race is set at 20 km/h. The time limit is set on the route for both the Ride and Race disciplines.

In addition to the minimum average speed, there are overall passing limits set on the route.

Strmina - 2 hours 15 min

Lozorno - 2 hours 45 min

Limbach ( before the start of the climb to Veľký Javorník) 4 hours 25 min

Both main competitive events, RIDE and RACE, start on Sunday from 7:00 a.m. near the Aupark shopping centre on Viedenská cesta.

The RACE category starts at 7:00 a.m.

The Ride category has a start at 7:15

The finish is located approximately 8 km from the start, in the city forest park on Kamzík Hill. Spectators can travel there by shuttle bus or public transport. The organiser will provide riders with a group transfer back to the start area (L’Etape Village), accompanied by a ŠKODA support vehicle. Due to limited parking capacity, we do not recommend travelling to the finish by car, as there are not enough parking spaces at Kamzík for all participants.

RACE - Corridor opens at 6:30am and closes 6:55am, Race start is at 7:00am.

RIDE starts right after RACE. Corridor opens at 7:05 to 7:10, RIDE start is at 7:15.

There will be mobile service available for both Sunday events (Race and Ride) - 2 cars (1 cars for Race and 1 car for Ride) and 3 service stations on the track - Limbach, Veľký Javorník and just over the top of Strmina (Horvátka).

Start – breakfast at L’Etape Village; Borinka at 36 km; Strmina at 42.5 km (RIDE and RACE); Pezinská Baba at 72 km (RACE); Veľký Javorník at 97 km (RACE); and the finish at Kamzík.

Yes, every participant who passes the finish line will receive a beautiful medal. At the same time, all participants of the Kids Race and Family Ride on Saturday will also receive a medal.

Yes, Sunday's main Race and Ride events will be run under full closure with all road traffic excluded, escorted by police and organisational vehicles.

The start of both races will be divided into 4 zones
1. Elite (designated by the organizer)
2. Tempo (until 3:40 Race / until 2:00 Ride)
3. Challenge (3:40 - 4:10 Race / 2:00 - 2:20 Ride)
4. Chill and Fun - both Ride and Women's Grupetto (over 4:10 Race / over 2:20 Ride)

Each rider must wear a properly fitted helmet on his/her head and keep his/her bike in good working order during the race. The use of headphones during the race is prohibited and the rider may be disqualified. It is also forbidden to use a mobile phone while riding in the peloton. A rider may also be disqualified if he/she throws litter along the race route outside the designated areas near refreshment stations.

Helmet, ID, water bottles, supplementary nutrition (even if there will be refreshment stations on the course), it is also advisable to use sunscreen - depending on the weather, sunglasses, spare clothes (in case of bad weather) that you can leave at the start together with other things in the locker room, repair kit in case of a puncture, etc.
